The Meteoric Rise To Stardom

Willa Fitzgerald was no stranger to show business when she started her career in films with the role of Vivian in the film ‘For the Love of a Dog’ in 2008. Her experience in acting goes back to her school days and her formal training at Yale University.
After her first full-length movie, She acted in two short films, ‘Food For Love’ and ‘Two Cheeseburgers: Part 3’ in 2012 and 2013 respectively. Willa always felt that a movie was too short and intense a session to build up a character for her fans to assess, so from 2014 to 2016 she shifted her focus to the small screen and appeared in a number of serials including ‘Alpha House’, ‘The Novice’, ‘Royal Pains’, ‘Scream’ and ‘Bull’. She also has television credits in ‘Blue Bloods’, ‘The Following’, and ‘Gotham’ as a guest artist. In her opinion, television serials portray a character in a better manner as the actor gets feedback from the audience and has the opportunity to improve upon their performance with every episode. Willa loved this aspect of television and almost lived each role of hers in real life.
Besides television, she also starred as Beth in the web series, ‘Relationship Status’ in 2016. She found the work to be interesting and challenging. In March 2017, she was cast in a starring role in the Fox Television pilot military soap thriller ‘Behind Enemy Lines’, playing the Navy pilot Roxanne Daly. The serial is a remake of the movie with the same name.
Her acting career includes her performances in a number of theatre shows, such as ‘The Cat and The Canary’ in the Berkshire Theatre Festival, ‘Cow Play’ in the New York Fringe Festival, and ‘The Private Sector’ at the Theatre for the New City. She has also done the reading at the Actor’s Studio for ‘Couple in the Kitchen’ and ‘Starf’’cker’.
Not only has she been acting, but she has also taken a step further by directing the theatre production of Virginia Woolf’s ‘Orlando’, which was adapted by Sarah Ruhl in April 2013. The experience of directing was an education for her. She certainly has talent that has been recognized by positive reviews from critiques. Today, she is rated as an upcoming star of the future.

Behind The Curtains

Willa Fitzgerald was born on January 17, 1991, in Nashville, TN. While she was in school she actively participated in theatre. However, as a child, she wanted to become a research scientist in child psychology. As time went by, her passion for theatre increased and she moved to New York after graduating from Yale University with a BA degree in Theatre Studies in 2013. As part of her degree at Yale University, she participated in a number of plays, including her favorite play ‘Blueberry Toast’. Her degree taught her acting, playwriting, and directing, in which she excelled.
During her student days, she interned with the Builders Association in 2011 and The Wooster Group from 2011-to 2012. She owes much of her success to her agents, Ellen Gilbert, and Rachel Altman of Paradigm Talent Agency, who managed her schedule and arranged auditions for her.
Many people are not aware of Willa’s passion for puppeteering. She is a wizard with hand and shadow puppets and loves doing children’s theatre. She also plays the piano and is an excellent cook. Though she has a massive following on Instagram and Twitter, not much has been posted on social media about her family or personal life. From what is known, she is still single and not in a serious relationship with anyone.
